This website is a template and already had the page titles as you see on the left so I have decided to add some content that fits in with these titles until I figure my way around the website builder package.

It would be a considerable understatement to declare that I am a Beatles fan.  Joe also likes the Beatles but I am something of a Beatlemaniac - despite being told in my younger years that the best thing to come out of Liverpool was the East Lancs Road!

I managed to see The Beatles once on December 7 1965 at the ABC Ardwick, now know as The Apollo.  I went to the first house but the show was almost cancelled because of the thick fog on the night.  We had to walk there and back from Salford as the buses had been cancelled but it was well worth it.

Other bands I saw in the sixties were The Hollies, Everly Brothers, Kinks, Manfred Mann, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Carl Perkins, Swingin Blue Jeans, Nashville Teens and many more.

In 2002 when Joe and me went to New York we went to see a real legend, Les Paul.  He was 87 years old at the time and still appeared every Monday night at the Iridium Club.

I recently saw Don McLean in concert for the umpteenth time and will soon be going to see Denis Locorriere, Joe Brown, Dave Edmunds, Graham Nash - the list goes on.
